Zimmerpflanze
2021 Zeughausareal, Rapperswil

For a public art project, part of a competition I was fortunate enough to win, I developed a mural that blends harmoniously into the Zeughaus grounds. From the moment I first entered the area, it was clear to me: the design should visually extend the "Zeughaus Garden" and capture the interplay between architecture and nature. The grounds reminded me of a houseplant: it's not essential for using a room, but it makes it more vibrant, warmer, more human. From a tiny seed grows a plant with its own form and dynamism. That's exactly how I see this place: a breeding ground for ideas, dreams, and individual development. In my mural, I take up this idea – with bird motifs as living beings that are clearly at home in the Zeughaus grounds. From a distance, you can make out a flowerpot by the elevator shaft. Up close, an entire universe unfolds, full of details and stories waiting to be discovered – a world that grows and lives.
